Susanna Wallis has had successful shows at Country Living Fair/Knitting & Stitching Show, has written craft books and taught hundreds of craft and creative workshops.
Susanna’s past jobs include working as a local community arts leader, overseas holiday rep, farm worker, and even as a tea lady on the production line at the Dagenham Ford factory.
Susanna is a strong advocate for community, culture, craft, and local heritage, reflected both in her own practice - often encompassing these themes within her work, and having a conviction to encourage participation in craft and creative community activities.
This is an exhibition from an artist with a lifelong passion for making. Susanna continues to evolve her craft, gaining recognition and confidence to explore new mediums. She is constantly evolving, adding further craft skill to her repertoire. Her work encompasses illustration, textiles, mixed media and sculpture, with feltmaking being her specialism.
