Exhibition of new work by Liz Griffiths: N1 to N33.

Place is the underlying theme to my work, and this series of pieces is the result of my exploration of a new environment, following my move from East London to Lowestoft. Some have been led by interactions, which could be either deliberate or random, in which I have used material sourced while out on walks, or invited people to intervene in the work I produce, exploring authorship and unknown outcomes, and leading the work in new directions.

The starting point of each piece is some kind of found image, whether physical or photographic, made into a digital collage and layered with other pieces, paintings, sketches, building a multilayered image which mirrors the layers I discover in my new environment.
